Advisors Toolbox
Welcome to the Toolbox for Advisors!Academic Advising at Appalachian State University is a shared responsibility among each individual student, a University College academic advisor, and later a college professional or departmental advisor. Every pre-registration advising session should be conducted in a collaborative environment using at a minimum the student’s transcript of credit earned, a degree program check sheet including the general education requirements (or in the case of exploring students, a general education requirements check sheet), the Undergraduate Bulletin, and appropriate online resources such as AP/IB scores and credit, transfer equivalencies, department four year advising plans, etc.
Links on this page assist advisors and students in determining which policies and requirements are in effect for the individual student and developing strategies for ensuring a timely graduation date.
